Governing Law

The courts of the judicial district of Lyon, France have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes. The Mérieux Foundation reserves the right to modify these legal mentions at any moment. Insurance liability

The event organiser will not be liable for your life, medical or travel insurance or costs resulting from any illnesses, accidents or losses which may occur during your travel and/or attendance.

Cancellation and refund conditions

These cancellation and refund conditions form an integral part of the registration for participation in an event. The request to register for an event implies acceptance of these cancellation and refund conditions and full and unreserved acceptance of their provisions.

Accommodation and catering services

In case of cancellation of the reservation before the beginning of the stay, or in the event of early departure during the stay, an indemnity fixed as follows will be due by the defaulting contractor:

  • Up to 30 days before arrival: free of charge
  • 29 to 7 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount
  • 6 days before arrival or early departure: 100% of the total amount

Taxi reservation

In case of cancellation of a taxi reservation less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up date, the amount of the trip must be paid 100% by the defaulting contractor.

Registration fees

The contractor has a period of fourteen (14) days from the date of payment of his registration fees to retract by sending a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the Merieux Foundation at the following address:

The right of withdrawal is valid only for the events not started on the date of the reception of the retraction by the Merieux Foundation.

By way of derogation, any cancellation resulting from circumstances beyond the control of the participant may result in a total or partial refund upon presentation of the necessary supporting documents.

Updates

The Mérieux Foundation reserves the right to modify and update these legal notices and any part of the site it sees fit without prior notice. Any modifications will be binding on users, who must consult these General Terms and Conditions each time they connect.

Statistical Tracking Data

We use connection data to collect viewing statistics (browser used, number of visitors, sections visited, etc.) for site-optimization purposes in terms of site sections and navigation. However, this data is not transmitted to third parties.
